Everyone Knows an Eagle Beats a Jaguar.

But only if it's an American Eagle versus a British Jaguar.

The left continues to have an utter meltdown as they stew in their own "rage juice." Having to watch Sydney Sweeney, a young, successful, wealthy, white, blonde, blue-eyed beautiful actress endowed with um, natural acting gifts pose in front of a camera in her American Eagle jeans was bad enough for the left. She wasn't Beyonce. Or Zendaya. Or Halle Barry. Or Lizzo. They all posed in jean ads and the Left celebrated their femininity and "courage." But this Sweeney chick had the audacity to just be there and be sexy. She wasn't bashing Trump. She wasn't urging men to play women's sports. She wasn't urging young women to be pro-abortion. She wasn't even embracing her ethnicity or her obesity or her armpit hair. Just posing in her AE jeans.

Just what "truth" then was she putting out there the Left demanded to know. Aha. Jeans and Genes. Get it? No? Clearly, it's Naziism and Eugenics. "They" want to "whitewash" all of us the Left concluded. And then the modern Left does what it always does whenever they don't like or disagree with anything. They hurl insults and level accusations. Racist. Hitler. Nazi, Transphobe. It couldn't just be that being beautiful and sexy tends to help sell stuff. It couldn't just be a playful bit of "jean/gene" semantics with a famous and alluring starlet. Nope. It has to be sinister. Evil. Destructive. Because when all you offer the world is a hammer full of rage then everything else starts to look like a nail. If not, then how do you justify your own existence? This is modern-day leftism.

Steven Colbert, a smug, self-absorbed, one-note late night talk show host who "entertained" only one side of the political aisle gets canceled and the Left erupts in rage. Free speech is under attack they bellow. The end of democracy they scream. A multimillionaire white male gets fired and it becomes an existential threat. I thought all whites were privileged and must be destroyed? And just how many existential threats can we handle at once? Doesn't "existential" mean the absolute gravest threat imaginable?

Anyways, just like the Zohran Mamdanis of the world, they are either ignorant about basic economics and business, or they couldn't be bothered by it. Too busy being outraged to notice that The Colbert Show cost CBS about $100 million a year to produce it and lost over $40 million a year while its Host pocketed over $20 million a year for mostly being unfunny and angry. Unfangry? No, the modern Left seems incapable of recognizing the truth even when it falls on her face for 107 days.

And that truth is this-No one wants to be shamed. Humiliated. Scorned. Lectured. Especially when you showed up to have fun. Being angry is not enough in showbiz. You still have to entertain. Make people laugh. Make them want to keep coming back. At least if you ever want to reach more than those who already are true believers.

American Eagle gets it. They made a playful ad with a beautiful woman. The Left yelled "girlcott" while the market, the real truth diviner, boosted American Eagle stocks up to the tune of a $200 million gain. Their jeans are flying off shelves just like proud, soaring eagles. Meanwhile, the CEO of Jaguar got the boot. Their "rainbow" LGBTQ infused re-branding was a devastating disaster. They went from sales of 227,000 to 23,000. Jaguar enthusiasts and those considering buying all asked the same questions, "What in the world were they thinking?" Is this legendary automobile now only for the wokest of wokes? Only for those who pierce and dye their hair with the most vivid colors of the rainbow? Do cars really care about the sexual preferences of their owners? Does Jaguar Inc., have even the faintest idea of who their consumer is, or wants? Apparently, not.

One thing is clear-American Eagle owes no one an apology. Jaguar on the other hand should say sorry and shift its branding gears once again. And Colbert should watch old tapes of Johnny Carson just in case he ever gets the privilege of having his own show ever again. And the Left? Maybe they can suffer a collective case of laryngitis and spare us their hypocritical, self-righteous rage for even just one day. Because in the real-world eagles beat jaguars.
