Which winsome pair is best suited to fight crime, clean-up DC and maybe broker a peace treaty or two?

First, let's start with the obvious-If ever an actor was destined to fill the shoes of another actor in a reboot it is Liam Neeson (LN) taking over the Naked Gun film franchise from Leslie Nielsen (LN). And no offense to Ms. Pamela Anderson but if you look at some of her um, relationship and marriage choices she obviously must have a good sense of humor. And in the 2025 Naked Gun reboot she displays her well-endowed sense of humor and at least teases at some of her other more well-known assets.

Together, she and Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., fight crime, clean-up the City of Angels (L.A.) while taking down a ruthless villain who is hell-bent on implementing some sort of vague plan which involves triggering humans to revert back to their primitive violent instincts. Much more, and I'll spoil the Naked Gun fun. So, I'll stop here and simply add that I wish I had Drebin's helpers bringing me coffee the way he does.

Now, onto President, not Lt., Trump and his own winsome beauty, First Lady Melania Trump.

Before he became President, Donald Trump snuck a few cameo appearances in films like Home Alone 2 (they did use the Trump Plaza after all) and hosted the NBC ratings bonanza "The Apprentice" when NBC celebrated all things Trump rather than depicting him as a real-life master villain. And if you've ever watched Trump improv at a White House gaggle or a scheduled press conference then you know that he too, has a very well-developed sense of humor in addition to a healthy ego.

Coffee? Unlike Frank Drebin this President has a big red button that apparently immediately dispenses him all the Diet-Cokes an adult male of any age should consume. I pray the nuclear button is a different color now. And it's only a rumor that if Adam Schiff's legal troubles get any worse, he'll cut a plea deal to be the guy who carries the diet-coke bottles for Trump when he travels abroad putting out global political fires which really makes one thirsty.

As for our First Lady? Well, if she was on the Left, politically speaking, she'd be as much in demand for red-carpet press junkets, fashion magazine covers, social media podcasts and all the hottest Hollywood scripts her agent could email her. Just like Ms. Pamela Anderson. Okay, more so. Add in that Melania is an immigrant from Slovenia, a successful businesswoman in her own right, a fashion model and she pens heartfelt letters to the real-life villain V. Putin of Russia, urging him to stop killing for the sake of the children. The result? The Left would already have built statues in her likeness. Best of all? Unlike former First Lady she's not out in public comparing the entire Latino population to a Taco. Or running down her husband for the sake of podcast clicks like Michelle. Or well, just being Hillary.

So, which pair of crime-fighters are the best at what they do? Which pair is the most dynamic duo?

The good news is that this summer's cinema is in good hands with Liam and Pammy. And Donald and Melania seem to have things well in hand outside the cinema.

Seriously though, I gotta have my coffee delivered to me throughout the day a la Frank Drebin.
