Because the Current Visuals, Dialogues, Sound, and Music make for a Terrible Movie.

By Greg Rabidoux

And an even worse political party and message.

I am in the deep throes of film post-production. Simply put, we shot some raw footage of a bunch of scenes for a Docudrama (Real documentary with plausible re-enactments) and now comes the editing part. Lots of hours staring at the frames. Hours examining the visuals. Listening again and again to the sound. And then more hours listening to the dialogue and playback. The goal? Put all the pieces together to knock the socks off the audience. Or, at least, make a compelling film people want to see. I'll take either.

As a filmmaker, and writer, when I look and listen to the Democratic Party and all its current cast and crew, wow, do their visuals, sound quality, and music (have you heard them sing lately?) are terrible. As in horrible, hurts-my-eyes-and-ears terrible.

I mean, do they ever review their own political footage? Do they or their overpaid consultants (aka, folks who couldn't get themselves elected) ever do a bit of "post-political-production?" I doubt it.

Because if they did, they would see their House Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries talking about how so many people are moving away from Trump and to his Party while he is standing alone in front of the US Capitol. That's right, alone, I didn't stutter. They'd see Chuck Schumer with his reading glasses down his nose like a befuddled Ben Franklin-wannabe while holding an avocado and a Corona beer while talking about how Trump, like the Grinch, ruined the Super Bowl. Or they'd see him pretending to grill raw hamburgers over a grill that had no flames. You want dialogue? How about that privileged Jasmine Crockett pointing her fake, highly polished nails at the camera while throwing the "F" bomb? Do you prefer an action figure? Then, how about Illinois Governor Pritzker, himself a billionaire, yell about the oligarchy and then call for "hell in the streets." This from a man who presides over the homicide shooting gallery called Chicago. Maybe it's music you like. Sure. Me, too. But have you heard the Dems screech off-key at their "rallies" or mid-day "sit-ins?" My ears are still ringing.

Bottom-line? The Dems "Resistance" needs a complete re-boot. But they'll never get there with their current cast, crew, directors, and writers. And I should know. It's what I do for a living.

Seriously, "street fighters?" Raise your hand if you're intimidated. David Hogg put yours down, that, we already knew.
